School & Educational Industry Pest Control

We know how important it is to ensure the safety of students and faculty members. That’s why USX Pest will create pest control procedures that are customized to your campus or facility. This will allow you to focus on educating the student body — instead of worrying about pests like ants, bed bugs, cockroaches, mice, and nuisance wildlife in the hallways or cafeterias.

USX Pest offers schools across Upstate New York and Western Massachusetts premier pest control services. Check out our service locations for more information and to see if we service your area.

We know meeting state and federal regulations is important to you —USX Pest’s year-round educational facility pest control services and prevention will ensure your building is always up to code.

Crawling Insect Control

Pests like ants, beetles, and cockroaches can damage and contaminate anything they come in contact with. We use discrete monitors to gauge pest activity, then apply baits and residual insecticides to eliminate any detected pest problem.

Flying Insect Control

Fly lights and attractants are used to monitor and control the activity of flying pests. We also use baits and residual insecticides to get rid of pests like fruit flies and drain flies. Once that is complete, drains are cleaned and treated so that flies are less likely to reproduce.

Mice & Rodent Control

We use a combination of safe and humane rodent bait stations in addition to mechanical rodent monitoring devices to remove these critters from your school or campus.

Sanitation

After the pest problem is eliminated, we vacuum, disinfect, and otherwise return the classrooms or facilities to the way they were before pests invaded. We also offer disinfection services to keep classrooms clean and containment-free to prevent possible illnesses or spread of viruses.

Minor Repair & Exclusion

If we find small openings, like the hole where a pipe enters the building or a crack in the foundation, we will seal it to keep pests out. We also seal up areas, like behind backsplashes, where pests will hide.

Permanent Pest Exclusion

Sometimes it’s more than just a couple small openings that are letting pests sneak inside your school. Our USX Pest Wildlife Exclusion System uses all-natural, permanent solutions to keeping the pests out of your educational facility.

How to Prevent Cockroaches in Classrooms, Schools & Educational Facilities

Between the student body, faculty, sports, and events, educational facilities have a lot of traffic in the halls. That means increased levels of debris or crumbs on the floor and trash being disposed. And a greater chance that someone brings along little hitchhikers, like roaches or bed bugs, throughout the school.

Here are a few tips you can focus on to ensure pests have little reason to come inside your educational facility:

  • Make sure students keep their belongings in their designated lockers, so any outside issue can be contained.
  • Backpacks and jackets can be ideal for pests such as cockroaches or bed bugs to hitch a ride.
  • Try to keep food consumption in the cafeteria and clean up after food breaks in classrooms.
  • Remove trash daily.
  • Clean and disinfect cafeterias, clean out grease deposits and floor drains routinely. Don’t leave pots or pans in the dishwasher.
